Two new high-efficiency cooling units were installed at one location, each with two separate cooling cycles and six compressors.
The units also have a ‘free cooling’ option, which means that they use up to 15 times less energy than usual, thus operating very efficiently.
Until now, the cooling units were located throughout the company premises and provided cooling only for certain technological lines or rooms. The cooling system is now centralized and is equipped with the cascading operation option.
As the entire system is divided into four parts, it can still provide sufficient cooling even if one part malfunctions.
Moreover, the renovation reduced the risk of major material damage, should a cooling unit failure lead to production downtime, material defects, or poor working conditions for employees.
